Technical Documentation In The Cloud

There are a bunch of WordPress-like cloud solutions available for managing technical documentation. They promise on-stop shop for all we want to achieve with our documentation and involve little or no learning curve and hardly any set-up effort. Just log in, create the documentation with your branding, URL, and look and feel and voilà – your customers have the support they need. But it seems in technical writing, we are slow to adapt to gain the benefits of the cloud – we are either vendor-locked, slow to take advantage of this new paradigm, or just uninformed of the benefits.
